An Orb of Alchemy is a currency item that can be used to upgrade a piece of normal item to a rare item. It can be obtained by using a vendor recipe, by killing monsters or by trading with other players.

To obtain an Orb of Alchemy, players can either use a vendor recipe or kill monsters. Vendor recipes require that players combine one scroll of wisdom, one armourer's scrap, one blacksmith's whetstone and one glassblower's bauble in the vendor window. Killing monsters may also randomly drop an orb of alchemy.

To spend an Orb of Alchemy, players must place a normal item, an Orb of Alchemy and a sacrifice fragment into the transmutation window. The sacrifice fragment is used to upgrade the item to a rare item. The rarity of the item will depend on the type of sacrifice fragment used. After completing the transmutation, the item will become a rare item with random modifiers.
